The COVID 19 virus has made so many world-wide changes and a feeling of unity and grief, along with accomplishment and uncomfortableness seem to prevail in lots of venues. The unity comes from everyone being affected by the same thing, going through some of the same feelings and necessities, while the grief comes from the selfishness of some, death of others, and the harsh trials of our friends and family. Feelings of accomplishment come from figuring out how to survive and thrive, sewing up masks that may or may not work, and juggling the children in a confined atmosphere. Everyone is uncomfortable living in the new normal of restrictions.
So today is perfect, the rain is making it uncomfortable to take a walk, the conference is edifying and giving me resolve to accomplish good works, we as a church are all experiencing this together, and the sadness comes from not being with and around the grandchildren. I am so excited about the call from President Nelson “I invite all, including those not of our faith, to fast and pray on Good Friday, April 10, that the present pandemic may be controlled, caregivers protected, the economy strengthened, and life normalized.”
Yes! This is going to work, a prophet of God straightened his shoulders and gave us an invitation to talk with the Savior.
