I just want to kick something. Of course being an adult that isn't appropriate.
A few weeks ago I gave a family some pesos to buy milk and groceries for a specific need. I find out this week the kids are wondering if I was going to send milk again.
Milk in their household is a luxury.

Milk is sold on the shelf and only need refrigeration after opening

I quickly took care of that need, but the fact that it exists and I'm still so woefully blind to how lives are run here, is frustrating!  It didn't even occur to me that they weren't getting milk every day.  Growing up milk always appeared on the table and as an adult I didn't care for it. Here it is a lucky day if you get some.
