Mabuhay House with Susie and Snowmen

The missionaries usually start out their entertainment at Mabuhay House with some fun songs.
Elder Alas, Sister and Elder Elliot, Sister Hoem's, Sister's Whitehead (Grace and MaryAnn)

The missionaries sang the usual songs and then ended up with a new one, "Once There was a Snowman."
"In the Sun he melted, small, small, small......."

Susie showed her home in the mountains and the 14 hour trip across the ocean to come to the Philippines

After passing around pictures of her home with snow on the front lawn and deer who came down out of the mountains, she asked the patrons if they wanted to see snow. She told them she would mix some up - and she did!  It didn't clump, but it was wet and slightly chilled.
Susie passed out little snowflake sprinkles and explained how sometimes she goes out side and opens her mouth to catch snowflakes. The children studied the snowflake for  a moment and promptly ate them. After she "mixed" up some "snow", she passed a little bag with a picture of a snowman on the outside with the "snow" mixture in it. (Little tiny non-toxic beads that hold water.)

The adults loved the 'snow' too

We played a Snowman Bingo game that Susie had brought and laminated. The characters were snowmen or parts of snowmen and the markers were miniature marshmallows.
Then she showed them a paper with hundreds of snowmen that the children could examine and discover the ways in which the snowmen were different. I noted a panda bear hiding in the picture. She also brought Olaf cut out and ready to assemble. While the missionaries sang (in Tagalog) Susie and Jonah passed out popcorn to everyone.
