This morning I woke up to find a series of emails that were posted in the night around 1 am to 2 am, — daytime in Utah and California.
“Elder and Sister Adams were told their mission had been changed to a “technical” mission”and that we would be serving from home in California. By 2 am OGC in Salt Lake City had assured the missionary department that we were already in Ghana and ready to serve here. So our arrival date is actually the 7th of December. That officially makes the last few days a vacation.
On the door at our officeWe had this small window of opportunity to come when the Ghana government opened its borders, California let us on an airplane, and the missionary department processed our visas. I am wondering if other missionary couples are disappointed this morning?
Miracles are all about timing. Little, seemingly insignificant windows of opportunity when big ramifications happen. Life is good. Having the promptings and little snippets of enlightenment from God are marvelous.
It is interesting to note that Jeffrey gave a talk at the Cambodian branch a couple of weeks ago about taking opportunities as soon as they are offered. He told the story of Joseph Smith unjustly incarcerated in Liberty Jail for two extra months after the brethren with him did not escape on the evening the prophet Joseph indicated they could escape. One of the men wanted to wait, so they all waited. The next day the guards were doubled and the opportunity was gone for another 2 months. Later all charges were dropped. Meanwhile Emma was walking across a frozen river with 4 children and Joseph”s manuscripts without his help because the brethren in jail had not escaped according to the timetable provided by the Savior through His prophet.
Timing, it is all about timing and taking the opportunity when it comes. Take the opportunity quickly then watch miracles evolve.

I love your words,"Miracles are all about timing. Little, seemingly insignificant windows of opportunity when big ramifications happen. Life is good. Having the promptings and little snippets of enlightenment from God are marvelous." I am committed to paying closer attention to opportunities presented and then act in faith. Thank you for sharing your journey and testimony. I love you.
