Lots of little details go into putting granite sideboards down and also the granite that goes up the wall.
First, Dan put heavy duty plywood on top of the cabinets and over the dishwasher and the sink.

Plywood going over the tops of all the cabinets |
You can note that two long pieces of plywood went down the length of this side of the kitchen. It goes over the dishwasher and over the sink.

Dan glues and then staples the sides of the cabinets on so they match.
Two men came in a truck with the granite pieces on a rack in the middle. They put up saw horses in my front lawn to cut the granite to the preferred lengths.

Special care was needed to cut out the sink, faucet, drain, and soap dispenser, as well as the outlets for all the electricity boxes. They had a whole range of special type saws. I did not know that they glue the granite to the plywood - Very smelly glue that looks like epoxy. They also glued the granite to the side of the walls. They put clamps down where the seam between the two pieces went, with a long slat to press it together.
Step by step it looks better every day.
Today the sockets and outlets, sink in, and the granite is now used as a sideboard to hold everything.
