On the Friday before conference, all my sisters (sister in laws were invited) decided to get together for breakfast at Kneaders. Kneaders is a new tradition for meeting and eating but a very good one. It feels just as comfortable as Farr's Ice-cream after a temple session used to be.
Susie took us to Sharon's house where most of us were meeting up and then on to Kneaders.
Susie playing with Sharon's dog - I couldn't resist taking this picture |
This is a great picture of Rachel |
Sam is a brand new missionary who is going to online MTC training until he gets in the field. Notice Rebekah is with the same dog Susie played with. The dog gets around! |
All got here but Diana who was going to meet us later |
So we got together and I brought my girls - they are sisters, and we all sat around chatting and moving around to talk with someone else. We bought things to share and everyone had little bits of omelets, muffins, toasted bread, and fruit, maybe there was granola and yogurt too. Krista came with Susie's grandchildren that weren't in school, and she ran over to entertain them. Krista standing next to me said, "There is my diaper bag. I knew if my mother were here I wouldn't need one." Susie did have a bag of treasures and things for the children to do and see. Sherry came a little later. It was so good to see her again. I know Brenda and Marie were working, so we missed them. Still it was a warm, heartfelt day.
Donna acted as mother making sure everyone got what they needed. The baby was taken around and played with everyone. Evidently Krista's children interact with Sherry and Dean's family a lot. It was so nice to connect again.
I tipped the waitstaff when we walked out, as everyone was asking for different things the whole time. I wanted the waitstaff to know that this was important to all of us and we appreciated their help in making it happen.
