Time Slips Away rambles

The sun is shining over my head in quiet as I sit at my dining room table. It looks like it will be a hot day. When the end of the months come to Accra, so does the heat. It is bearable (like yesterday) when the clouds cover the sun for a bit. In the shade is bearable, but the unrelenting force of the sun in full daylight these days is uncomfortable. It is nice I have a beautiful place to look out onto the world.

We are getting used to the time zone again, and when I look back - wow, so many things have happened! It was very nice to be in Utah with Susie and many of my relatives. It was especially nice to reconnect with Amber and see Andrew, Briona, Rebekah and Mike, with Rachel. One Sunday all twelve of my family members got together for a picture. I didn't talk to all of them individually but was able to connect with most of them. I did lots of running around to find things and pick up things and then had a great time visiting. The conference was amazing but I am now listening to all the talks. We had the conference on but the house was so busy that I didn't really "hear" the messages until listening to them again in the quiet of my home.  Here in Accra really is my home as I don't have a set location in the US and Jeffrey was running around Salt Lake and Provo. Now we are together again in the same place with our own  belongings. Nice.

It is interesting to have the feeling that the other place I was just at (Utah) feels like a dream. I know when I got back to the States that my time in Africa will feel like a dream. I guess that is my brain's way of coping. Anyway, I love being back with my friends and going about my purpose and calling. Life is very good. I am so grateful that the Lord has poured and showered so many blessings down on us. Safety, protections, tiny daily miracles, love, challenges, and more answers to prayers.

Where did October go? The Whites have gone back home, the McCourtney's will leave soon, the Braunbergers have arrived and slipped into life here. Many other missionaries are leaving and two more couples have arrived. I go away for a moment and life is altered a bit when I come back.
