On Tuesday, Susie headed off to take care of her grandkids early in the morning, Jeffrey had his things going on, and I headed out around noon to go with Laura to her first radiation therapy session. She would only have three. They were scheduled for Tuesday, Friday, and the next Monday.
I waited out in the waiting room and Jeffrey Tesch was there also. We talked about his family and kids and their wonderful Peru trip that he and Laura had taken with friends and had gotten back from the week before. When Laura came out she thanked her doctor for everything and we left together while Jeffrey went back to his work.
On the way home, she told me about the session and how at first she had a panic attack when they put the mask on. She asked everyone in the room to pray for her and she was able to continue. She had a really wonderful spiritual experience in answer to her prayers - that is not my story to tell - but it was sure awesome to hear it.
Since the session didn't take as long as was predicted, I was able to go with Jeffrey to visit with Mike and Carol. They are such a talented wonderful couple! I love looking at all the seasonal and regular quilts that Carol has hanging and folded over the chairs. They are really wonderful. We caught up on all the news of each of their children and went to dinner. It is so nice to reconnect every few months and see how life is for them. We headed back home before it got dark so we wouldn't have to drive in dangerous conditions. The snow was falling again.
