Julia invited me to watch the girls recital and told me there would be fun and entertainment at the Pleasant Hill Community Center.
Wow! The center had really gone all out to make sure families had fun! Train rides outside with all kind of food vendors and games, with glowing decorations everywhere!
Inside were different rooms that had lots of activities around a theme. For instance Candy Land had the colored walkway squares and then different activities at the stops. Of course they all got candy as they left. In another was an Abdominal Snowman theme. I can't remember the name of the movie but it looked a lot like movie Frozen creatures.....there is a movie.....can't remember. Anyway the girls had fun playing the games and posing for pictures. Then we went in to watch other classes dancing in the main room until it was time for the girls to dance their dances to Nutcracker music. I came out and listened to an a cappella group that was very, very good. I couldn't help but think about Rachel performing this Christmas season in Utah. I had to stay until their very last song. The bass was very good with all the low notes and sounds.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season!
