Last of September

In the last week of September to the first Monday in October, Jeffrey and I flew to Utah to visit in Provo then drove on up to Idaho to visit, back to Ogden to visit and flew home again. This is the second time I have visited and Jeffrey's third time since we have been back from Accra. We had such a wonderful time that we would love to make it a quarterly tradition. We'll just have to see how it goes.....

In Provo we visited with Beverly at the Memory Care unit. It was disconcerting because she had fallen about two weeks before we got there and we were told she was on the mend. She had a shadow of her face bruise left, a neck brace because she has a fracture, and her energy was dimmed. Rachel came to visit with us and of course moved the favorite arrow. Since she left early to go to work, it was moved again.....

Jeffrey and I were very glad that we had visited and talked with Beverly about her marriage and enjoyed her stories and memories. The time gave Jeffrey and I a sobering reminder that life is fleeting and so maybe is our memories. I am glad we had the opportunity to see her again.

A big difference from our last visit
