Library Resources

I don't remember using the Library story time or much of their classes and programs as a young mother. As a grandmother I have found them invaluable!  The girls go to story time and mingle with other children - not in making friends sense - but more in learning how to get along and cooperate type of socialization.

We started out with two library ladies who lead the story time and singing and now there is one lady who seems to be pretty experienced. The library always has a theme for the week so the stories, songs with motions, and coloring pages all have the same types of themes to them. Of course there are two or three favorite songs like the hello and good bye songs along with "Shaky Egg" that stays the same every week.

Makynlee and Isla love the stories and songs at the Ygnacio Valley Library

Makynlee is holding up her 'shaky egg' that rattles when you shake it - for a special song.

This is one of the most popular songs and everyone gets into the spirit of it!

I am always surprised to see the parents shaking the egg. But everyone gives back their egg when the song is over. Fun, fun!

After the Story - Playtime!

Isla is the one who will grab a book after going to the kids section of the library

Makynlee is the one who finds the puzzles, toys, and the host of other things offered.
