Nona and Grands Saturday

The Grands started out in the back yard running with Yukon (Kelsi's dog who didn't have a sitter at home) in which I tried to get a picture of all of them. It was either the dog or two of the kids - next time I may try treats....

Backyard

Isla, Lilly, Caleb, Makynlee, Jason, and Yukon

Close....but maybe next time will be better.....I always have a photo in mind

Off to the school

Then we took off with a stroller and five kids - not much interest in a ride on the way to the school

I wish I could take a picture when we are crossing the street. I told the kids they needed to look as big as possible so that cars could see them -  thus to hold hands with someone. Caleb started putting his hands high above his head to look bigger. That kid cracks me up.

So many interesting things to do at the school park when there are lots of kids around. Jayson brought a ball and that added to the mix of things. They really enjoyed showing each other what they could do and watching to see if there was something they could do too.

Going Back Home

Everyone knows that the return trip is usually not as anticipatory as the outgoing trip. But I did offer crackers and oranges as a snack until there parents came home. So off we went to the house.
Lilly and Isla wanted rides home. Makynlee finally rode in the very front as she wanted a ride too.

Snacks and Scripture Story

Opa told the story of the Son's of Helaman and their victorious battle. Caleb said he already knew the story while Makynlee and Isla were distracted.

Then the tickles and wrestling started.....as usual

The little girls all dressed up and entertained us for awhile

But they all ended up back outside with the dog.

Couldn't wait for lunch anymore

My day with the grands ended with lunch. Their parents hadn't arrived home yet. The kids were hungry so I dished up left over tacos from the night before and some had Alfredo noodles.
No problem, the parents said when they got home a half hour later.  Plans were made go to the Golden Coral for dinner.

This was an awesome day for me to watch all the interactions of the children with each other and Yukon. Isla was on pretty good terms with the dog before he left. She was very hesitant in the beginning. Jayson is an amazing young man in his negotiations with the older boys at the school and his younger siblings and cousins. Makynlee had Lilly her own age who may be smaller but had a stronger will and is not intimidated by bigger or even older people.  Life is good.
