Since Julia and Michael had a different array of Stockings, I asked Julia what she thought about making some Stockings that all matched for everyone. She did some research and came up with some ideas. The girls and I went with Julia to pick up supplies and had a good time waiting in lines.

Sewing on the fiddly parts - what a pain! |

Julia doing more research to get them just right |
Julia told me that the stockings would need to be reinforced and everything sewn on as she has a two-year old and a four year old who would put them on their feet and fiddle with all the pieces.
She was right! First thing Makynlee did was try the Raccoon ‘sock’ on for size and Isla ran her fingers over the eyes and hands.
It was awesome to watch Julia make, then cut out adorable patterns of woodland animals. I sewed all her different parts together. The bear was the very easiest and the rabbit took hours.
I asked her if she wanted to make stockings for the rest of the family and she thinks it might be fun. So something to look forward to.
Just waiting for their white turn down top with name on them. |
I will update with another picture of finished stockings….
