Prayers on behalf of Michael

Jeffrey took Rachel early to the airport on Friday morning on his way to work, so she could go to Colorado for her competition.  Friday became an important day for Jeffrey as his brother Mike was in serious trouble following a surgery the previous Tuesday. Carol called and said they were on their way to the University of Utah hospital. Jeffrey went straight over to see what he could do. I put their names in the temple prayer roll and Jeffrey came home a little after 9 pm saying he would go back in the morning.

Instead of heading up to Twin Falls to visit with Rebekah and Michael McGoveran, Jeffrey said this is the time to be with his brother and his family. I totally agree.

We are all praying for his recovery and hoping Carol will be able to cope with the new challenge in connection with all the others she has been given.

I thought it was very interesting the story he told about the subpar care that Michael had been given after his surgery on Tuesday and sent him home Wednesday morning without due consideration of his many complications.  On Friday and Saturday, Sarah Michael's daughter  who is a nurse was watching and giving advice to the young care workers on what was needed for her father's care. Chris, Michael's son was telling the doctor they would not accept anything but great service, and Jeffrey as a lawyer was reading all notices and putting them on notice that a lawyer was in the room.

The weather seemed to agree with the somber note made by Mike's situation. The sunshine disappeared and snow and rain has been coming or drizzling down since Friday. Luckily, unlike last year, the snow is not sticking to the ground.

Watching general conference today, I am waiting for Jeffrey and Rachel to come home from the airport and then I'll get a complete report on how his brother Michael is doing today. I'm hoping miracles are happening.
