Canceled Excursion - Day at Sea

Waking up and getting ready to go visit the Isle of Mann (where inspiration came for Thomas the Train mountain artistry work), we found all excursion had been cancelled due to storms. So it was another day at Sea for us. I was sad to miss this as I had intended to look for trains for my grandsons.

All the family met at the grill for lunch where I ordered fish and chips and was sadly disappointed as they did not taste as good as the bite I got from Diana the day before. But the rest of the day was a lot of fun playing with the siblings.

There are so many fun activities on board. The hot tub was great until you stood up in the wind.

We met in the board room and played games like Presbyterian Poker but changed it to a version of Catholic Poker due to the fact we were in Ireland waters.  Diann told us a very heartwarming story from Guam. Dave and Diann have lived through a series of storms and had some really wonderful sometimes grim stories of the people who live there.  Allen went on a quest for a certain dessert at dinner time and one of the waitresses came through for him in a big way. Good thing we were all sharing.

Revised "Catholic Poker"

Lava cakes and ice-cream, this waitress found for Allen

Jeffrey and I were happy, though surprised at how many Filipinos were serving on the ship. It was so good to meet them. They are as warm and friendly on board as they are in the Philippines. We went to different shows and I am sure the "kids" all met up again at the top deck cafe for ice-cream and chats.

We got word that the captain was going to sail on past Dublin and give us two days in Cork and Cobh instead of one because of colliding storms. Actually it was awesome to watch the weather channel showing the two storms and another out further descending on the British Isles. We were safe and snug in our ship.

Is this a fashion statement, or are the faucets turned so the water flows straight?

I did find this picture online so I am guessing this is a practical way to have the water flow straight.
