On Friday January 26, Jeffrey had meetings with an accountant and with a real estate agent. Both were meetings to settle his mother's estate.
I decided to head over to Rachel's apartment and help her out with her quilt. She needed to put the top and the bottom together with the batt so she can sew it up. I came over early before she went to work so she helped me shift all her chairs and couches into the tiny kitchen so I would have enough room to spread out her quilt so I could pin it together.
I found out after pinning one half of it together that I needed to take up the rug also as it made a crease in the lower material. Uggh. Unpinned it all, took the rug out, swept the floor and started all over again. Success this time! All this was done while watching the new Percy Jackson series on Disney. It is SO much better than the original two movies.
Small apartment, so barely enough room to fit the quilt pieces in |
Who knew that rug would be such a problem! |
All safely pinned, trimmed and waiting to be sewn together! |
At a late lunch time, Jeffrey met up with us both and Rachel ordered salads from Rio Cafe to be delivered. We talked for a bit, put the room back together, had lunch, and decided to all meet at Susie's house that night to go to Rebekah's the next day. Feels good to get something accomplished.
