When we visited with Oliver and his siblings in Sacramento a couple of years ago, he made beans for supper. It was hilarious to watch this young tyke jump up on the counter and get the things he needed and then get a chair to stand on to cook his beans.
Well, I continue to use his recipe and when I make beans for us here. That is how traditions are started. The grandkids do something that the grandparents copy and carry on with. Thanks Oliver!
Open cans of beans, put them in a colander and rinse well. Gather oil, chicken base powder (or bullion), garlic salt, cumin. Add together in a small pot and cook until hot.
