No Retreating, Just Advance in a different Direction

Twelve Days before our scheduled Lore Family reunion, Susan sends out this message to all the family:

"Dear Family,

Due to the overwhelming snowpack our venue is not accessible! Flooding has limited our other options. So, we have been able to secure a primitive, rustic, antique lodge at Weber Memorial Park.

This will be a new adventure for our family."

Then she goes on to explain how the snow hadn't melted sufficiently to have access to the place that had been reserved. After countless calls - no one was open early June - She found a lodge with no oven, fridge, or running water. It did have electricity and a place to sleep out of the elements. On toilet for ladies and one for men. There were camping spots for tents and dry camping for trailers. It was located up Ogden Canyon just before Causey Dam.

I watched my siblings go into action and start planning to meet in a place with no kayaks, climbing walls, volleyball nets, or ball diamonds...or running water. They did have raging river at one end, picnic benches, a fire pit and a lodge with tables and a good roof on the other side, with trees, a meadow, and a road into this camping spot.

Did the reunion get postponed, cancelled or put off? Of course not. Despite whatever roadblocks are thrown, Susie, Allen and Laura forged ahead with a new adventure.
