As all the ladies loaded back on the bus, I could see a discussion going on in the front. I assume it was about where we were headed next. I really enjoyed talking with the various ladies I sat next to and learned about their lives and things they liked. Pat Kimsey is a missionary in the OGC like I was in the Philippines and Accra. She had a wealth of information about Safari's with highlights of what each of them offered. I was especially interested learning about Sweetwater as it sounds like it would be ideal for my sister Laura to come. They have big windows in front of a watering hole that many animals come to drink at by the lodge and in the front tents. They also have a rhino sanctuary and a chimpanzee sanctuary that you can tour. Lots of day trip safari jeeps that go out and see the wild animals going about their business of surviving. It was really fun and enlightening to talk with her.
It was interesting chatting and discussing our lives, how we cope, what we find joy in, and how many ways we are different and the same. It was like a mini Relief Society day. A shared sisterhood in a situation that we could all understand with tips on different ways and means to accomplish our roles. It was so very nice and good!
Both days when we loaded up on the bus, we would sit next to different women and chat. What a great way to bond and exchange information. Several of the women expressed the need to have understanding and how good these cluster meetings were in accomplishing that.
It was really nice of our host Marie Stanford and the missionaries in the OGC office who passed around chips, popcorn, chocolate, banana chips, and nut bags. One very lean sister talked about needed something every two hours. We all had a good laugh at that one. There was a lot of camaraderie, laughs, and hugs.
