Sunday Night at Susie's

Jeffrey, Rachel, and I left Twin Falls on Sunday afternoon just as the second session of general conference started. We listened to the talks except when the mountains cut off the transmissions. Rachel was really good about finding the signal again. When we came out of the mountains, we could hear clearly and nicely. It was really nice to be driving through beautiful (snowy) scenery and listen. Just as the conference ended we arrived at Susie's house house - which means we made very good time - and before the next snowfall was due.

The Lore's were due to have a family meeting to discuss the Family Reunion coming up in June on Sunday night around 5 pm at Susan's home. We found Susie's house all set up, and Susie was gone to a Widow and Widowers meeting where they had watched conference together. Family all started arriving at 5. After Allen set up the zoom call (David in Guam, Dean in Southern Utah, and others in various places) we had all 12 of the siblings. I am not sure if everyone got all the information needed but we sure had fun talking about everyone's families and what they were doing.

It was amazing to hear about all the surgeries and health problems, i.e. Polly going in for surgery because she slipped at her daughter's home on some water and broke her wrist, DJ going in for repair work after complications from a previous surgery, Marie slated for preventive surgery, Jim scheduled for chemotherapy and radiation and of course Laura going in on Tuesday for her first radiation therapy on Tuesday and having immunotherapy in the same week. I feel like my greater family is physically falling apart.

For me it was wonderful to make connections with all the siblings, spouses, nieces, and nephews that came to the house.

Reynold, Don, Brenda, Bron, and Donnette Lore

Susan Eames and Brian Lore (one of Steve and Polly's youngest boys)

Susie, Johnny with Laura Tesch

Diana and her youngest son John

Anna, Sharon, and Sam Bowman

Adam with Marie and Allen Lore. I take pictures of family any way I can get them.

The next time the family met, I was on the zoom end and David was back for a few weeks from Guam.
