What?!!! It is Valentines Day?

How did that happen? I looked down for just a minute and now it is 10 days later!
Last Sunday I taught my first time in Primary. I am still not sure if they are six turning seven or seven turning eight-year-olds. Two weeks ago I got a picture of each child holding their name and I still only got 1/2 of their names correct.
They are an adorable group of children and I'm learning to love them very quickly. Primary is held mostly in English so I'm not too much behind. The kids seem to understand what I'm saying but I've learned by hard experience that Filipinos are so nice, considerate and polite that they always say, "yes", and nod even if they have no clue what you are saying.
I don't know how old this boy is. He has cerebral palsy and is a very lovely wonderful boy.
Adam is the only one I remembered from two weeks ago and of course he didn't show up this week.
The adorable girls in my class tooting their horns.
Besides teaching a new class, Jeffrey and I have gotten to know a few more people in the ward and got invited to a pot luck dinner. They told us not to bring anything, but we were the only ones who showed up without something. Never again. We had some really great food and I was amazed at the backyard bar-b-que because it was literally 5 feet away from the house on the ground in the tiny courtyard and they set the meat on top of racks and when it was done it was delicious!!
I love Filipino food! The salad were fantastic and I happen to appreciate seafood chowder
The quests and women went first and then the children and finally the men - Do they always do that?
These men cooked the bar-b-que, held babies and kept order-I'm trying to figure out if this is the norm.
One of these days I'm going to have to do a post on my people watching. Living up so high in an apartment gives me a birds eye view of life on the ground. There is a river curving around the city and watching the farmers along the shore has been fascinating. I love watching almost all the Filipinos. Their smiling polite faces have a lot of territory under them.

I'm not sure how time zipped away so quickly, when I have so much I've planned to do - maybe tomorrow.
Jeffrey did get me some chocolate yesterday and I put some things in the cart for him too. But really everyday our love grows and we appreciate each other so much more - we don't really need a day set aside for love.

That is cool. I really like seeing local culture and everyday life. Good luck in primary.
