Monday, March 3 was my day to get Wyatt's quilt finished and make sure everything fit in the suitcase that was going. I had lots of visitors in and out - but my story is about David. He called and said he wanted to come visit. I told him I was getting ready to go and could not look at any of his wares. He told me he would just come for a visit and wouldn't bring his bags and things for sale. I told him that was fine.
Erica came twice for the last few things she had made and to make sure everything was perfect. She really is a darling girl and I'm hoping she can find customers for her products. I love her cream! It helps a lot in my skin retaining moisture. She was here about 20 minutes each time - very typical. David on the other hand came about 11 or 11:30 and stayed until Jeffrey came home!
I am not sure what the deal was. Maybe he had no where else to go. I had offered a lunch as I still had some of Comfort's frozen meals left. Asante came right in because my door was open. I don't like to have men over by themselves and always leave the door open if we are alone. Between the different people coming and going, there were times I was alone with David. So the door was open most of the day.
I kept right on putting my quilt together and did not stop working despite my visitors. I told all of them where they could pick up what they wanted or spoke with them over the whirl of the sewing machine. David took an hour and a half to eat jollof rice and a piece of chicken! Amazing, I haven't seen that before. I have watched people inhale their food, but one bowl of rice and a chicken piece? Every time I looked up he was still eating.
Toward the later afternoon he wanted some advice and came close to where I was sewing. I stopped a minute or two so I could help him get hooked up technology wise and even had a short chat with Sherri Despain!
David needs some things resolved with the museum in Salt Lake and I was not going to take on his troubles. I did show him how to call and video chat on Facebook messenger. Then I left him to his calls to get my piece finished. When Jeffrey came home, I signaled him with a look to have David go home. Jeffrey is very good at politely and generously helping people go on their way. I am going to have to set some boundaries and think about how I'm going to do that.

Erica is fun and talented young woman. She went out of her way to make sure all my girls were covered. |

Still there |
By nightfall, I was ready to go! So all's well that ends well.
