Matthew and Debbie came down yesterday to give service and comfort to Michael and Julia. They dropped into Andrew's house when Isla and Makynlee went over for a swim. I really enjoyed having some time to take life slowly. For some reason my leg has been stiff since Sunday and has slowed me down quite a bit as I have to swing it around to be mobile.
Matthew spent sometime at the hospital with Julia while Isla and Makynlee came back to our house. They had spent hours in the pool and were hungry and tired. I fed them early and let them play a game.
When Matthew and Debbie's family came back to our house, it was really great watching the cousins all interact.
Matthew and Debbie prepared dinner for their family and a special dessert for the Fourth of July. On a trip from Oregon, their chocolate stash got melted together, so they decided to have Chocolate Fondue with marshmallows, raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries. It was great!
Just before bedtime, Michael came to pick up the girls to sleep at their home. Julia is still in the hospital so they had some time with their dad.
They were happy to see him! He reported that the girls went to sleep right away. They had a full day, first playing with Opa at the Park and then hours in the pool with Andrew, and then running around with the cousins. Life is good.
Andrew came over to chat and then Jeff Penovich dropped in to say hello. I had to slip out early and go to bed while they all chatted together. It was a good day and I was thankful for Matthew and Debbie.
