Good and Bad

On Wednesday, Corina, Oliver, and James woke early. Andrew and Amber came for a quick morning visit to say hello and have some fun and then they headed home.

Oliver showed Amber his tiger - and let her carry it around

Trying to be a thoughtful, nice grandmother, I made the kids waffles for breakfast.

NOT so nice. The waffles had buttermilk in them and Oliver started feeling very bad and then James felt bad enough to throw up. About a half hour later, Oliver was throwing up. I felt terrible!

This will NEVER happen again on my watch

Michael came by to drop off  the two girls for the day while he went back to the hospital. Luckily about a half hour after they threw up, the boys started to feel good again.

Instead of leaving as soon as all was well, Matthew and Debbie decided to stay and help with Isla and Makynlee while I went shopping for a few hours. They were a blessing from God. For one, Isla needed some one on one mom attention which Debbie gave her and made Isla's well-being soar.

Since the grands were together, I thought it would be fun to have a tea party using lemonade. I put all the ingredients on separate plates and then asked Debbie about each item to make sure no dire results would happen.

I got the call that Laura was on her way just after setting everything out for lunch (tea party), Matthew and Debbie would take care of the girls then drop them off at Andrew and Briona's house when they needed to go home.

When I arrived home a couple of hours or so later, Matthew and Debbie had just dropped the girls over to Andrew and Briona's home to visit after taking them to the park for the afternoon. They were on their way home to Sacramento. I was able to put all the groceries away and clean up the house. Then Andrew kept the girls over night! Michael brought some supplies over to their house and then came to fill us in on the updates of Julia's condition. Sepsis is really bad to have. Click here for info.

We are all so very grateful for the series of events that lead to Julia getting the care she needed when she did. A lot of prayers were answered and many blessings fell from heaven. It is not my story to tell, just to witness. I can tell you that God orchestrates situations and people to come into my life and of course others when needed. God is in the details and God is in the timing.
