Cruise preparations went on for about six months

A dream for a long time for at least three maybe four sisters, was to go to England on a Jane Austin tour. Take pictures and have a high tea, maybe dress up and enjoy the Austin experience.

When Laura was diagnosed and her life expectancy shortened, the dream became a goal. In March the goal started. Where are we going to go and when? Laura's mobility gets a little less every month. A cruise would solve a lot of logistic problems staying in the same place every night.

Back in September the Lores reserved a temple session to do sealings for our ancestors. Diana did so much homework researching our lines. She knows stories of many branches and will tell us stories before we went and as we went along on our trip. Margaret married Malcom III and became a mother of three kings and was Queen of Scotland. You can read about her if you are interested. We are related. Everywhere we stopped Diana had stories to tell. Good guys, raiders, royalty, coal miners, and martyrs. We have them all in our family tree.

Susie had so many preparations with all the logistics of getting people on the cruise and getting what they needed i.e. scooters, wheel chairs, reservations, etc. I am sure she made plans and talked to someone every week for about six months. She and Laura made up things to put on the door and crafts for fun.

Laura had gone on this cruise in 2022 and wanted badly to go with her family. In fact at one place while there with friends, she wished she could be there with her siblings. When the idea came up to go to England with the sisters and it looked like a plan wasn't going to happen, she suggested going on this known cruise.  So going on this particular cruise was all about Laura. She made powerpoint, schedules, and got information for anyone who wanted it. She and Susie made up awards and planned many days with games and ideas so the family would have fun together.

Sharon made all kinds of things for the cruise like lanyards, bags, kilt pieces, and crowns! I had no idea you could make embroidered crowns.
